Although I am far from being a great writer, I have decided to create a blog about my journey through getting in shape and finding out anything new about myself along the way. This is going to be tough, and regardless if anyone reads this or not, I need to keep myself accountable. So if you do read this and are interested in my "journey" LET ME KNOW so that I can continue forward...knowing that someone is reading this :)
Here is a little about myself...I am a student at The University of Florida (GO GATORS), am an avid Gator sports fan. I have a wonderful family and consider myself culturally diverse...being half Indian, having so many different kinds of friends and also a fantastic, Jamaican boyfriend! This being said, there are a lot of foods I should stay away from but, they are just too good!
So, here it is. Day 1- THE COMMITMENT. From this day onward, I will be doing the very best I can to commit to a healthy lifestyle. I will be starting with different challenges (need to figure out which ones first!), trying to keep to my anti-fast food, vegetarian thing that I have been trying to do since New Years, and exercising instead of sitting on the couch all day after I get out of class.
THE GOAL- My best friend is getting married in October and although it is HER day, I find this is a very good reason to start to really do this and make it count. More to come soon!
